Former Director of Online Strategy Brings Platform and Client-Side Experience Back to Agency

ATLANTA (May 28, 2019) - Nebo, a human-centered agency headquartered in Atlanta, has announced the addition of Rashidi Barnett as director of emerging opportunities. After previously working as the agency’s director of online strategy, Barnett has returned to Nebo after 10 years of working at leading platforms such as Google and AOL. In his new role, Barnett will use his career experience to bring growth, new ideas and insights on emerging industry trends to the team.

As a Clark Atlanta University graduate, Barnett began his career in marketing when digital marketing was in its infancy. Barnett first came across Nebo at an Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association (AIMA) event, where he noticed employees handing out a comic book, called NeboMan. Although this comic book now only exists in digital archives, this began Barnett’s lasting relationship with the agency.

Barnett began working with Nebo as a client, but quickly saw that the agency aligned with his career goals. He joined the Nebo team as director of online strategy at a time when digital was on the cusp of dominating the marketing industry. Since then, Barnett has carved his own career path, going on to work at both AOL and Google, building lasting connections and a passion and curiosity for emerging technology and predicting industry trends.
